2007 - Journey To Atlantis - Confirmed - (8/23/06) SeaWorld confirmed the details about Texas’ version of Journey To Atlantis. As rumored before, this will be the Mack Supersplash coaster/flume ride, with boats that hold up to 16 riders at a time. The ride will be entirely outdoors and when the boats hit the top of the 100 foot lift hill, they will enter a turntable where they will rotate “up to 360º degrees” to give them a view of the landscape before they are given a final spin and sent down a small reverse camelback backwards. At the top of the next hill they will spin on another turntable to face forwards once again and sent down the 100 foot tall final drop into a lagoon full of geysers and water spouts. The plan is to open the new ride on May 24th, 2007.
