Ratanga Junction, Cape Town's own version of Disneyland, has been saved.
The Nedbank Group sold Cape Theme Parks, the company that owns Ratanga Junction, to Century City Property Developments last year and there was talk that the theme park would be closed down.
But on Monday night Ratanga Junction spokesperson Maggie Rowley said the park would stay open, permanent staff members would keep their jobs and an aggressive growth programme was on the cards.
Ratanga will stay open during winter and prices have been cut. Adult rider tickets have been reduced from R100 to R75 and junior rider tickets from R50 to R35 for the duration of the school holidays. - Staff Writer
