Universal Mediterranea returns March 21st with Carnival

The most complete offering of Europe presents important new features

Universal Mediterranea, January 2003. The Universal Mediterranea resort, which consists of Port Aventura theme park, the Costa Caribe water park, Hotel Port Aventura and Hotel El Paso, opens its doors next March 21st with the most prolific entertainment offering in Europe. Universal Mediterranea commences the season with important new features for even more fun.

Port Aventura's ninth season kicks off with a sensational Carnival festival that will enrapture the whole family with the spirit of this wild celebration and this joyful fun will spill over into Hotel Port Aventura. Brazilian carnival groups, samba dancers and colorful costume parades will dazzle the visitors with the color and fantasy of the gayest carnival. Visitors will don special glasses to delight in exciting visual experiences in a 3D maze, this festival's star.

In addition, Port Aventura presents new shows in 2003, such as a Noches de Mediterránea. On spring weekends, visitors will enjoy an incredible fantasy that combines music and fireworks to enthrall all the senses. The Dragon Khan, the Sea Odyssey, Grand Canyon Rapids and Templo del Fuego will be there as always to entertain visitors of all ages.

Costa Caribe, the water park, which opens its indoor part March 21st and the open-air zone May 15th, will have new relaxation areas as well as a new beach volley ball court. During the summer, night owls have a date in Costa Caribe every Saturday night. Summer Nights is a grand party that combines the music of incredible DJs with water fun. Party-goers can dance and take a dip in some of the attractions at the same time. No one will want to miss this night-time fun.

Hotel Port Aventura and Hotel El Paso expand their offerings and services for guests of all ages.
