Noch nicht offiziell bestätigt, aber man hört es wohl an allen Ecken und Enden des Parks: Der Bereich um Cinemagique, Stitch Live! (+ irgenwann einmal Soarin) wird ebenfalls ein Placemaking Projekt bekommen: Theatre District.

Hier eine Zusammenfassung dessen, was man die letzten Wochen so darüber lesen konnte.

  • The Theatre District placemaking will focus entirely on the area surrounding Production Courtyard stage. It is the location where several technologies in movie projections will be demonstrated: Cinémagique, Stitch Live and Soarin' (within a few years). Peter Bell mentioned in his article on Miceage last year that the area will welcome several Hollywood style moviesets in front of the existing buildings. Guests will have to go through these sets to discover the actual attractions.


    Construction will likely start after Hollywood Blvd. has been finished.

  • According to member Kinoo who overheard a conversation between Imagineers and journalists over the press event, it seems confirmed that the Place des Stars will be getting its own placemaking next year (the name Theater District was also mentioned), with a complete overhaul of the Cinémagique facade.

  • The Hollywood Placemaking constructions will continue after ToT opens.
