Coaster-Force.com kanns nicht lassen:Heide Park Update
Many people are wondering why the announcement of the 412.5ft Tera-Coaster contradicted earlier confirmation of a 350ft Giga-Coaster. This is simple, the owners of Heide Park are rich (even more so now), and coaster crazy. They announced that when the new ride opens it will hold as many records as possible including tallest, longest and fastest coaster on the planet. The reason why the height was increased was to make it the fastest on the planet. At 110mph, this tera-coaster will beat the current fastest ride in the world, Dodonpa which manages 107mph through a compressed air launch. An interesting piece of knowledge is that the 200ft plug 'n' play woodie Heide Park have, was originally planned to be only 150ft high - the owners asked the European Coaster Club what the world's tallest was (Son of Beast) and they changed it to over 200ft. Basically, Heide Park has a history of changing their plans and ideas to beat the competition.
On a related note, one of the observation towers in the park will have three or four freefall tracks added to it's central column by Intamin next year.
Ich erspare mir mal Kommentare zu den Aussagen über den Tera-or-whatever-Coaster respektive die Umwandlung des Aussichtsturms, aber das mit Colossos interessiert mich dann doch. War das wirklich so? Und wenn, SoB is doch trotzdem höher, also watt solls? Wer weiss mehr?
