More than 80 firefighters tackled a major blaze at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the early hours of today.

No-one was injured in the fire but several buildings in the complex are feared to have been badly damaged.

The scene of the blaze was near the site’s star attraction, the Pepsi Max Big One, which is believed to have escaped unscathed.

A total of 12 fire appliances attended the blaze after an emergency call was made at 1.09am, said Lancashire Fire Service.

The fire was brought under control just under three hours later with the main bulk of the blaze extinguished.

Hi,

das Feuer hat die Bean Street, den Food-Court mit Balkon schräg gegenüber der Wilden Maus, beschädigt. Irgendwelche Attraktionen wurden nicht in Mitleidenschaft gezogen - auch nicht The Big One. Allerdings gab's in der Bean Street lecker Indisch, also ist doch auf eine beldige Wiedereröffnung zu hoffen.
