PIGEON FORGE (WATE) -- A woman has been released from UT Medical Center after she fell from the Dollywood steam train Wednesday.

Dollywood didn't release the woman's name or age. But officials did say she's from out of state and was visiting the park with a family member.

Dollywood spokesman Pete Owens said the woman fell from a moving train car halfway through its five mile loop around the park.

Officials said Thursday the Dollywood investigation is complete. Investigators determined the woman fell from the train because she lost her balance after someone spilled a drink on her. They also determined the train had no mechanical failures and the park isn't at fault.

The Dollywood Express reopened Thursday. It was shut down after the woman fell Wednesday afternoon.

6 News was told this is the first accident on the train in Dollywood's 19 seasons. And there are safety inspections and announcements before every train ride.

"There's a railing on either side of the train seats," Owen said. "And we tell folks to make sure they keep their arms and their legs inside the train."

Dollywood said it will notify Dolly Parton about the accident because she considers every visitor a family member.

The Dollywood investigation will also determine what, if anything, could've been done to prevent the woman's fall. And what changes aboard the Dollywood Express are needed to prevent future accidents.
