After the limited success of the "Gay Day" at DLRP, whose organizers failed to rally the European gay audience behind its concept and promote their event, a new attempt it started. This time Johnny Chisholm is trying his luck with his "One Mighty Party" event, which he already celebrates for fourteen years at Walt Disney World with up to 135.000 guests.
Starting 2007 four annual parties under the same title are supposed to attract the European gay crowd. The first one to be announced is the "One Mighty Party" at the Disneyland Resort Paris on June 29 and 30. Guests can look forward to the four DJs Manny Lehman, from LA, Tom Stephan aka Superchumbo, Paul Heron, from London's Area and Crasg, and Wayne G, from London, Sydney & SFO transforming Frontierland and Discoveryland into two giant dance floors from 9.00 pm till 2.00 am and also enjoy the attractions in these two lands as well as Adventureland. In addition Gloria Gaynor will give a concert in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle before the party finale with a spectacular fireworks display (starting at 11.30 pm). For those who want to party even longer a second event titled "Magic Journeys" will transform the Disneyland Pavillion behind Star Tours into a giant dance floor from 2.00 am till 6.00 am.
The professional promotion, for which Johnny Chisholm has joined forces with fellow promoter Ray DeForest, and the extensive event schedule clearly set the "One Mighty Party" event apart from earlier Gay Day events at DLRP. While the latter targeted gays to join for a day together in the park with a small party afterwards, Johnny Chisholm clearly targets the party fans among the gays.
Tickets and further information are available on the official website of the event . The ticket for the "Mighty Party" costs 80.- EURO, for the "Magic Journies" 50.- EURO or combined 97.- EURO - a certain percentage is dedicated for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Guest ordering tickets for both events till February 7 receive a 25% discount respectively 15% if the order arrives before March 7.
