In perhaps the strangest endurance-riding event I’ve heard of yet not involving Richard Rodriguez, a group of eight people from Walibi.net took the challenge to live, eat and sleep inside of a 3x3 meter square gondola in the ferris wheel at Walibi Belgium for 74 hours. They were given breaks every 2 hours to stretch and use the bathroom, but that’s it. Park guests could donate money in exchange for a chance to ride with them and by the end of the run they had earned 1,800 Euros. At the very end Bellewaerde donated an extra 1,000 Euros followed by Walibi Begium who doubled the collected amount to 5,600 Euros which will all be donated to the Make-A-Wish Belgium program.
