Was ich mich schon seit längerem frage warum heißt "six Flags" Six Flags? ich mein wenn mich nix irrt dann heißt das doch soviel wie "sechs Flagen" oder??? Also was beudeutet der Name "Six Flags"`?
Zitat aus dem Buch "Roller Coasters of America" Motorbooks International 1994:
"Six Flags over Texas: Located midway between Dallas and Forth Worth, the original Six Flags park opened in 1961. Its name was chosen for the six flags that have flown over Texas during the past. Originally, it was to be named "Texas under Six Flags", but as the parks planners put it, "You know how we all feel about Texas, and Texas ain´t never been under nothing". Thus it became Six Flags over Texas."
