Trains Collide On Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Ride
Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster is closed after three people suffered minor injuries when two trains bumped into each other Thursday.
Maria Sabol, a spokeswoman for the Anaheim Fire Department, says a 10-year-old boy, a 44-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were taken by private ambulance to a nearby hospital after the accident. They had minor neck and back pain.
The ride is closed pending an investigation by the state Division of Occupational Health and Safety.
It is the second accident on the roller coaster in less than a year.
Last September, 22-year-old Marcelo Torres of Gardena was killed on the same roller coaster. The ride reopened March 10th.[div align=right]© nbc11.com 08.07.2004[/div]
