The company was founded by the Mordelt family that is far from being unknow in the industry because they established Heimo Animated Attractions Mordelt GmbH in 1944. The Studio was formed in late 2010, when Mordelt family felt the fact that it would be necessary to redevelop a completly new strategy and infrastructure for their business. With almost 70 years of expertise and experience and fresh new design talent and resources, One World Group is already setting the foundations to continue the Mordelt family as key figures within the Themed Attraction and Leisure industry.
One World Studios provides a wide range of skills and services for the Entertainment, Amusement Park and Leisure Industry. Specializing primarily in attractions design, their main services are the concept and design development, master planning, technical design and themeing development. One World Studios also offers services in model making, character development, project management as well as solutions to analyze the experiences of visitors, and solutions to manage visitor flow.
The Studio Team is made up of design specialists and is led by Olaf Mordelt, former CEO of Heimo. Key team members include Karl-Heinz Mordelt (awarded Industry Legends at IAAPA 2010) who officiates as a Senior Consultant, Carl Hackett (who worked for Tussauds) in charge of Creative Development and Research and Alessandra Constantinescu in charge of Communication, Project Management and Sales. Their philosophy is simple: they don't ask customers to look for what they like; they ask customers to dream of what they want!
This year, One World Studios has developed custom themed SFX seats for the new 5D interactive attraction "Vengeance" at the London Dungeon, in collaboration with Alterface. They are also working on a new interactive dark ride experience called the Battle Ball Ride™, and that they consider as a "back to the basics" ride.
Among other projects, One World Studios is working on developing an amusement park in Belarus, a family entertainment center in Kazakhstan, a museum redevelopment in Germany and various interactive seasonal exhibits for the UK winter season.
